Bald wurde er durch die internationale Gemeinschaft der Computerkünstler bekannt und organisierte 8 Jahre lang das weltweit größte Festival für Computerkunst, den Breakpoint. Kissel ist bekannt als starker Charakter, der in der Lage ist, sich zu wehren, und der aufgrund seiner analytischen und kritischen Argumentation, kombiniert mit offener, direkter Kommunikation, die Rückendeckung der Menschen zu bieten hat.

As an autodidact he started programming at the age of 10, at 17 he dropped out of school and opened a computer shop. In the international community of computer artists, he achieved a high profile and organized the world's largest festival of computer art, Breakpoint, for more than 8 years. Kissel is considered to be a strong, defensive character, who with his analytical and critical thinking combined with open, direct communication is certainly provoking.
Through Trial & Error, Kissel was able to gain a lot of experience in the field of economics after having mastered the technology. His computer shop turned into a software development company, which became the market leader with a chat server system in times of the New Economy and experienced ups and downs.
